Is CBD a drug?

According to the 2018 Farm Bill, any CBD derived from Industrial Hemp with no more than 0.3% THC by weight is legal under Federal Law. Any CBD derived from Marijuana or any cannabis plant that exceeds 0.3% THC is illegal under the Federal Controls Substances Act.  

The FDA has the authority over Hemp products and continues to deliberate on Hemp-derived CBD status and its future classification.

How long does it take to feel the effects?

It generally takes from 1 -15 mins to feel the effect. Its effectiveness is dependent on the amount applied, manner applied, and the nature of the discomfort. Apply additional balm as needed for maximum effectiveness.

How long do topicals massaged directly to the area of discomfort normally last?

Is CBD applied to the skin absorbed into the bloodstream?

Topical CBD, in general, does not reach the bloodstream. However, it will bind to any CBD receptors located near the area of application.
