Step 1: Sourcing & Farming

MODAE’s Premium CBD products start with quality Hemp, Superior Organic farming methods, and strict quality controls.

Our products begin with natural strains of hemp that are high in CBD.  The hemp we use is grown in fertile, contaminant-free soil here in the USA.

Our farmers follow strict USDA guidelines and use the industry’s most advanced farming methods to ensure that our plants grow organically and sustainably. MODAE firmly believes that quality products do not have to come at the expense of the environment. 

We are proud to work with farmers who share our beliefs. Their commitment and attention to detail ensure that our premium products are safe, regulated, and are unparalleled in consistency and potency.

Our horticultural team is committed to using the most innovative water conservation techniques and planting methods to promote quality and efficiency. We use a methodology for planting hemp called “Sea of Green” (SOG).  SOG is a cultivation technique where the hemp plants are grown closer together.  

The SOG practice compresses our plants’ vertical growth. As a result, it decreases the time it takes our plants to mature – ultimately averting the need for herbicides. Additionally, our hemp is certified organic and grown pesticide-free. 

Step 2: Processing

After harvest, our hemp plants are dried in warehouses and milled (as needed) into a coarse powder. Following this initial process, the hemp is then transported, processed, and packaged at facilities located in Colorado.

Step 3:  Extraction

MODAE uses supercritical CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) extraction at CGMP compliant facilities to extract our CBD oil. CO2 is the most superior method for extracting CBD and is regarded as the safest and most effective for ensuring product quality and purity. 

This process involves no harsh chemicals and contaminants. Instead, it works to preserve phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that add to our products’ overall efficacy.

Step 4: Separation & Distillation

The CO2 used in the extraction process is separated from the hemp oil extract, recycled, and then reused later in the distillation process. This distillation process removes the waxes and chlorophyll, which improves our products’ overall taste and texture.

Step 5: THC Removal and Refining

All MODAE products are 100% THC Free. Although THC naturally exists in hemp plants. Our products have all trace amounts of THC removed during this processing stage. 

Our products are lab tested to contain 0% THC. Therefore, they should be safe for athletes or working professionals subject to drug testing that screens for trace amounts of THC.

THC is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis, typically associated with marijuana and the euphoric high feeling it causes. Currently, MODAE offers no products containing THC.

Step 6: Third-Party Lab Testing

MODAE Health & Wellness is committed to providing CBD products that are verifiably safe and free of contaminants. Our CBD is third-party lab tested for microbial such as E. coli, yeast, mold, potency, and  pesticides. Tests are also performed for heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium.

Step 7: Our Proprietary Nano-Emulsion Technology

MODAE is committed to providing premium CBD that is quickly absorbed and highly effective. To achieve this result, the CBD oils used in our products undergo a final processing phase for guaranteed maximum effectiveness, known as Nano-Emulsion.

This process allows the CBD oil molecules to be broken down into smaller micro-droplets, resulting in up to 2x the regular CBD absorption rate – at no additional cost to you.
